What is the formula for Force?
Force = mass × acceleration
What is the formula for Momentum?
Momentum = mass × velocity
What is the First Law of Motion?
An object at rest will remain at rest and an object in motion will stay at a constant velocity unless an unbalanced external force acts upon it.
What is the Second Law of Motion?
The rate of change of an object’s momentum is directly proportional to the force which caused it.
What is the Third Law of Motion?
When objects interact, they exert an equal and opposite force on each other.
What is the Law of Conservation of Momentum?
In any interaction between two or more bodies, the total momentum before and after the collision will be equal, provided no external factors act upon the system.
What is the Conservation of Momentum formula?
m1u1 + m2u2 = m1v1 + m2v2
Prove V=u+at
a=(v-u)/t > at=v-u > v=u+at
Prove s=ut+1/2at^2
s=(u+v)/2 x t > s=(u+u+at)t/2 > s=(2ut+at^2)/2 > s=ut+1/2at^2
Prove v^2=u^2+2as
v=u+at > v^2=u^2+2uat+(at)^2 > v^2=u^2+2a(ut+1/2at^2) > v^2=u^2+2as
How does force relate to momentum
F=mv-mu / t
