Ammonia
A
Ammonia ~ a colorless gas with a characteristic pungent smell.
It dissolves in water to give a strongly alkaline solution.
Is a chemical that can cause skin irritation and breakdown, mostly due when a pt. Is incontinent of urine. It also promotes bacteria growth in a warm moist environment, it can double every 20 minutes.
