Glipizide
Anti diabetic medication
Oral rapid and short acting
Stimulates the release of insulin from the pancreas, directing your body to store blood sugar.
Bendroflumethiazide
A diuretic used to treat hypertension
Metformin
First line medication for type 2 diabetes.
Lowers BSL
Gliclazide
Anti diabetic medication used for type 2 diabetes. It is used when diet, exercise and weight loss are not enough.
Increases the amount of insulin released by the pancreas and helps the body to use insulin more effectively
Heparin
An anticoagulant. Specifically used to treat and prevent DVT, pulmonary embolism and arterial thromboembolism. It is also used in the treatment of heart attacks and unstable angina
Dabigatran
Brand name: Pradaxa
Anti coagulant medication
Prevent blood clots forming - reduces risk of stroke
Aspirin
Is a NSAID. Prevents blood clots, stroke, chest pain, and heart attack.
Atorvastatin
Used to prevent cardiovascular disease in those at high risk and treat abnormal lipid levels. Reduces the amount of cholesterol made by the liver. Should be given around bedtime
Digoxin
Medication used to treat various heart conditions. Most frequently used for atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, and heart failure.
GTN spray
Glyceryl trinitrate (GTN) is a spray used to relieve angina (chest pain). When sprayed under the tongue, it relaxes and widens blood vessels in the heart and in the rest of the body.
OxyContin
Oxycodone, sold under brand name OxyContin among others, is an opioid medication used for treatment of moderate to severe pain.
Omeprazol
a medication used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger–Ellison syndrome. It is also used to prevent upper gastrointestinal bleeding in people who are at high risk.
Ranitidine
a medication which decreases stomach acid production. It is commonly used in treatment of peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and Zollinger–Ellison syndrome.
Sevredol
SEVREDOL tablets contain morphine sulfate pentahydrate. Morphine belongs to a group of medicines called opioid analgesics.
Tramadol
an opioid pain medication used to treat moderate to moderately severe pain. When taken by mouth in an immediate-release formulation, the onset of pain relief usually begins within an hour.
Amiodarone
Amiodarone is an antiarrhythmic medication used to treat and prevent a number of types of irregular heartbeats. This includes ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, and wide complex tachycardia, as well as atrial fibrillation and paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.
Cyclazine
a medication used to treat and prevent nausea, vomiting and dizziness due to motion sickness or vertigo. It may also be used for nausea after general anaesthesia or that which developed from opioid use.
Furosemide
a medication used to treat fluid build-up due to heart failure, liver scarring, or kidney disease. It may also be used for the treatment of high blood pressure.
Paracetamol
a medicine used to treat pain and fever. It is typically used for mild to moderate pain relief.
Ondansetron
a medication used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or surgery. It is also useful in gastroenteritis. It has little effect on vomiting caused by motion sickness.
Salbutamol
a medication that opens up the medium and large airways in the lungs. It is used to treat asthma including asthma attacks, exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Spironolactone
a medication that is primarily used to treat fluid build-up due to heart failure, liver scarring, or kidney disease.
Warfarin
a medication that is used as an anticoagulant. It is commonly used to treat blood clots such as deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism and to prevent stroke in people who have atrial fibrillation, valvular heart disease or artificial heart valves.
Metoprolol
a medication of the selective β₁ receptor blocker type. It is used to treat high blood pressure, chest pain due to poor blood flow to the heart, and a number of conditions involving an abnormally fast heart rate.
Has a bigger effect on heart rate than it does on blood pressure. Not to be given if heart rate is less than 60bpm
