who won and what did he become?
William won- he became William the conqueror, king of England.

what is Fuedalism?
a social hierarchy, organisation in society.

those above provide land in return for food, service, protection or money. Happens in Feudal system

trail by fire, water and combat
what was trial by fire?
the accused had to hold a burning hot iron and walk a certain distance, they were then bandaged up. they then came back several days later and it it was healing they were innocent
what was ordeal by water?
victim was tied up and dumped into the water if he sunk he was innocent it he rose to the surface he was guilty. You died either way.
what are stocks and what happened in them?
the stocks were for minor crimes. the victims head and arms would have been locked into the stocks and bread vegetables would have been thrown at them.
