Q

What is MPGN

A

Involves mesangium and capillary walls
Associated with activation of complement system

Q

Type 1 MPGN

A

Global mesangial cellularity
Exaggerated lobularity of capillary tufts
Thickened capillary walls
Reduplicated BM (tram tracking)
Cresents in 10%
Eosin hyaline deposits in cap lumina -suggests cryoglobulinaemia
Diffuse broad granular C3 in cap loops and mesangium, or mainly mesangial C3
