Q

Stop Start Criteria

A
  • If light-off does not occur within 10 seconds of setting start lever to idle (wet start)
  • Fuel flow above 500pph before light-off (possible hot start)
  • Positive oil pressure not indicated by starter cutout
  • EGT approaching 725 C (impending hot start)
  • If starter fails to cutout (valve indicator does not go out or duct pressure does not increase) by 55% N2, call “stop start” and close engine bleed air valve to prevent starter damage.
