A

Aztecs were captured by Cortes, Incas were captured by Pizarro. The Spanish were greatly outnumbered but won because of their beleifs.

Aztecs

A

Called them selves the Mexicas which means ‘the People.’ Capital City of Tenochtitlan housed 250,000 people. Believed in a God named Quetzacotl. Cortes pretended to be their god and tricked them into Christianity.

Incas

A

Located in the Peruan Mountains and reaches to Brazil and Ecuador. Machu Pichu is so high up that it wasn’t discovered until 1906. The capital city is Cuzco and all nobles spoke their own language- Quechuan. Like the Aztecs, the Incas also believed in a Sun God from the East but theirs’ was named Virachoca and a different spaniard pretended to be him. Their government was also designed so that the emperor had supreme authority.
