Tigris, and Euphrates.
When the Tigris and Euphrates rivers flood, what do they bring?
They bring rich silt, making the soil good for farming.
Why is Mesopotamia called the fertile crescent?
Its called the fertile crescent because its able to grow food, and it looks like a crescent.

To the north of Mesopotamia is mountains. To the south are deserts.
