It is also called sumer and is the earliest civilization found in between the rivers of Tigris and Euphrates.
What are some of the important inventions of Mesopotamia?

What is cuneiform?
It is the earliest form of writing. It was first developed in Mesopotamia. It looked like wedged shaped symbols.
What is the Code of Hammurabi?
It is the oldest complete set of laws developed in Mesopotamia by King Hammurabi of the Babylonian empire.
What is the Nile river?
It is the longest river in the world, key to the Egyptian civilization, providing the water needed for life.
