Ethical statements can’t be figured out by thinking it through or experience, its based on emotion. They arent meaningful as they’re just expressions of emotion.

Ethical statements are subjective opinions based on our beliefs used to change peoples opinions. They aren’t just emotional responses - they show our attitude towards particular situations. They can’t be dismissed as meaningless. Eg covid tragedies are terrible. Emotional response but valid.
