What is cognitivism?
Cognitivism is that is it either right or wrong (there is no maybe.
What is non-cognitivism?
Non-cognitivism means that morality cannot be true or false (it is subjective).
What is moral non-naturalism?
Moral non-naturalism is cognitivist and believes that morality is truth apt (true or false)
What is moral naturalism ?
Moral naturalism is a type of moral realism,
moral properties/fact exist they are natural properties of the world.
What is moral realist?
Moral properties (goodness and badness) exist in reality and are not natural properties of the world.
What is intuitionism, and give a philosopher?
Moral judgements are know intuitively.
Moore was a consequentialist- Moral worth is determined by the good effects that it brings.
Moore concluded that ‘good’ cannot be defined.
What is Humes fork?
Hume separates knowledge into two, relations of ideas and matters of fact.
What is relations of ideas?
Can be discovered purely by logical thinking and are statements that are either intuitively or demonstratively certain by deduction.
What is a matter of fact?
Propersitions about the world, what exists and what is the case there statements are not known deductively as they can be denied without contradiction.
What is a Tautoiogie and an example?
A logical truth (analytical truth)
