Suicide Risk Factors: SAD PERSONS
- Sex (male)
- Age > 60 years
- Depression
- Previous attempts
- Ethanol abuse
- Rational thinking loss
- Suicide in family
- Organised plan
- No spouse
- Serious illness
Duration of Time Differentiates 3 Psychotic Disorders.
- Brief Psychotic Disorder: < 1 month.
- Schizophreniform Disorder: 1 - 6 months.
- Schizophrenia: > 6 months.
Good Prognostic Factors for Schizophrenia.
- Acute onset.
- Shorter duration of prodrome.
- Female gender.
- Good cognitive function.
- Good premorbid function.
- No family history.
- Presence of affective symptoms.
- Absence of structural brain abnormalities.
- Good response to drugs.
- Good support systems.
Criteria for PTSD: TRAUMA
- Traumatic event.
- Re-experience of the event.
- Avoidance of stimuli associated with the trauma.
- Unable to function.
- More than a Month.
- Arousal increased.

- Shorter duration of prodrome.

- Good cognitive function.
