A

To simplify:

Just Gram positive:

  1. Amoxicillin
  2. Flucloxacillin
  3. Vancomycin

Mostly Gram positive, little gram negative:

  1. Coamoxiclav
  2. Cefuroxime

Clearly both:

  1. Cafotaxime
  2. Meropenem or Piperacillin & Tazobactam

Mostly Gram negative, little gram positive:

  1. Ciprofloxacin

Just Gram negative:

  1. Cefazidime
  2. Gentamicin

Atypical Pneumonia:

  1. Clarithromycin/doxycyline
