Q

What are the qualities of a nerve system?

A

A nerve cell is long and thin so that impulses can travel across the whole body. A red blood cell has no nucleus so it has more room to carry oxygen and is rounded/oval so that it can travel through small blood vessels without blocking a pathway. Muscle cells are elongated and elastic to allow for stretching and recoiling

16
Q

What is it called when cells reproduce?

A

cell division

17
Q

prokayotic cells reproduce by..

A

copying the DNA then dividing into two septate organisms

18
Q

When does mitosis occur?

A

It occurs in a body of multi cellular organisms (not reproductive sex cells) in many stages and results in two identical body cells
