Drone
a held note or notes that a melody is played over. A drone provides a tonal base for a piece of music

Carnatic music
Indian classical music from south India. Carnatic music is known for its complex rhythms, and follows a more ‘composed’ style. Carnatic music is mostly vocal, and even when played on other instruments, is often meant to be sung.
