What is labor like under capitalism?
Massively mechanized labor, total chore, pure drudgery

What is wrong with what filmer is saying?
Locke believes it shouldn’t be paternal power but parental power. Filmer has no basis other than the 10 commandments.
State of Nature
Perfect freedom bounded by law of nature. Also a state of equality. Equality is self-evident, golden rule and “natural reason” implies natural reciprocity. No right to suicide, no harm to others.
Why does Locke say man needs property?
To eat food in their house

When it makes a distinction between some parts of nature and the rest of the commons.
How much land can someone take?
As much land as he can cultivate or improve
Why do people want to enter government?
United security in their property

When they feel it is benefiting the government more than themselves.
