- -acute injury
- -over medications
drug rxn
–25% of elderly receive inappropriate medications, adverse drug run rank btw 4th & 6th leading cause of death.
Adverse run may look like muscle or joint pain
food drug interactions
- -dairy & anti-biotics
- -grapefruit juice & statins
- -chocolate & MOA
- -foods high in Vit K (broccoli) & blood thinners
- -cranberry juice & warfarin
