Articles and other personal property of a passenger, which are appropriate or necessary for cloth, comfort or convenience in connection with his trip unless otherwise specified, it shall include both checked and unchecked baggage of the passenger.
The Baggage
Checked baggage is a baggage that is checked in at the counter and loaded in the aircraft. The number of the pieces or kilos that the passenger may carry of charge depends on the fare paid, the class travelled or destination.
Checked Baggage
The Charge per kilogram of baggage in excess of the free baggage allowance will be 1.5% of the highest normal direct, adult one-way economy class fare.
The Charge
This is equivalent to hand luggage or cabin baggage which means baggage other than checked baggage. Passengers may carry one piece of cabin baggage or hand baggage free or charge. These are articles such as overnight bags, portable computers, briefcases, beauty cases, etc.

-Items, which in the opinion of PAL, are unsuitable for carriage because they are dangerous, unsafe or by reason of their weight, size, shape or character, or because they are fragile or perishable.

Items Not Acceptable as Baggage
artwork, cameras, money, jewelry, precious metals, silverware, computers, diving computers, personal electronic devices, negotiable papers, securities or other valuables, business documents, passports and other identification documents or samples, unless otherwise permitted by PAL in accordance with these Conditions of Carriage.

You may carry some Baggage, free of charge, subject to the conditions and limitations of these Conditions of Carriage and PAL’s Tariffs. PAL also reserves the right to change its free baggage allowance.
Free Baggage Allowance
Prepaid Baggage is a special service offered by Philippine Airlines (PAL) allowing passengers to carry more than the free baggage allowance at least 4 hours before departure at a more affordable price.

For safety and security reasons, PAL may conduct a search on your person and your Baggage, for the purpose of determining whether you are in possession of, or whether your Baggage contains any item described in Section 3, or any firearms, ammunitions, or weapons are not presented to PAL in accordance with Section 3 of this Article.
Right of Search
Any checked baggage with an airline baggage to tag attached, located at a station other than that to which it was tagged.
Found Baggage
Any baggage left unclaimed in the customs area, claim area, airport hall, or any place in the airport after the owner passenger has had the opportunity to claim it.
On-hand Baggage
Any Baggage which is unclaimed after being in PAL’s possession for ______ shall be disposed of by PAL in any manner it deems proper.

Any baggage not available to the passenger at the time he is claiming for it.
Missing Baggage
Any baggage with changes in its original condition, interior or exterior, that may have or has caused a reduction in value.
Damage Baggage
Any baggage with part of its original contents was taken from it.
