How would do the following in Collar Sleeve guard? - Frame
Identify- what guard is it and is he controlling your torso or you legs?
Your torso is the answer, collar sleeve
Collar Sleeve using legs to protect yourself 49:09
When op is pulling your arm you are in danger if you cannot get your hand below the ribs
When this happens stand up and connect your knee to your elbow and pressure your knee into his thigh, getting inside position
If you hand is above his ribs and you cannot get it back, you must use your knee to protect it.
How would do the following in Collar Sleeve guard? - Align
Collar Sleeve - Step 2 Alignment 29:51
Step 2 and do this methodically, allign yourself square with him if he is square
How would do the following in Collar Sleeve guard? - Mirror
Mirroring
When playing guard op can either have his shoulders back or his shoulders hunched forward
To effectivly frame when they are in guard we must mirror ops posture, otherwise they can pull your elbow from your body when you are framing
Whn hunching, connect your elbow to your torso, you can frame it on the belt, always in torso guards you must keep you hands below the ribs, if they go above your arm will be attacked

Collar Sleeve - Step 3 Eliminate Frames 32:51
Now you are safe with your first steps you can now eliminate their frames
We use the one leg strong one leg weak concept to find what frame to remove
In collar sleeve push your hip into their foot frame then back off and remove it with your elbow
For the shoulder frame, push your shoulder into it, back off, circle your arm around to remove it
Collar Sleeve using Combat Base 37:13
Combat base is when you are up on one knee
Collar Sleeve More advanced eliminating frames 51:08
When they have you in collar sleeve they can have their foot on you collar bone, shoulder or bicep,
This always moves your shoulder back
To escape pressure in with the part his foot is on and then circle your arm around when you release the pressure.

Collar Break
If both legs are strong then break the collar grip
This applies to all the types of bases above
Connect the knuckles to your chest and then strip.
If his grip loosens off then you can remove the leg frames
If they hang and bent their elbows and make that grip strong the both legs will be strong too,
Then you attack the collar grip

If you are having problems finding a weak leg to break the put your frames in and
Cirlce, this make him put his hips to the floor to follow you and weakens his legs
This is because his legs are only strong when his hips are up and activated

Back up back up and then put as much pressure as you can on your hands through his shins, keeping those elbows in.
Then put pressure through your bicep, back off and peel off
Step 3 Eliminating frames (peeling with chest) 5:29
In spider guard op can with place his toes on your bicep or his heels on your bicep
We must respond accordingly
If he uses his toes-
Come forward and connect your chest to his heel
Then push his foot across with your elbow and down with your hands
If he uses his heels
1. Connect your hands to his trousers under his legs
2. You are using the palms of those grips to frame him away
3. Tuck your elbows in, move your body back and straighten your arms
4. Dummy pressure forward then bring his legs up, stacking him

Stanf up putting one foot past his hips and pressuring with your knee on the back of their thigh, then do the same peels and then escape DLR
How would do the following in De la Riva?
Frame
In delariva you use your arms to get inside position because he is controlling your legs
De la Riva Step 1 - Framing 19:04
There are two different ways you can frame in delariva
1. Both your hands on their shins (palms with inside positions)
2. One hand on shin, one hand on collar posturing them up
Mikey prefers both hands on the shins for stability

Align
De la Riva Step 2 - Aligment 21:08
Get square with him ASAP, then he can only put you forward or backward,
Your frame will then stop that happening
If he tries to overhead sweep you, put your weight back, if he tries to sweep you backwards then put your weight forward on your hands

Eliminate normally, if their hand on leg grip is too strong? If theyu hammer their hook down? If they don’t let you step over?
De la Riva Step 3 - Eliminating Frames 23:48
Always get the hooked leg as far forward as possible in DLR, you can also use the foot to posture off their hip, lifingting the foot and pushing off him with the toes, straighten the leg to break the DLR hook.
As always, one leg strong, one leg weak
When you are breaking in delariva, you must always balance on the side that you are NOT breaking the grip on. Balance on the opposite side to which you are breaking the grip
To eliminate the their foot on your hip-
Dummy forward with your hip and then push down on their shin to clear
Ensure your palm is on the front of their shin
To eliminate their deleriva hook- dummy your leg forward and then
Push their leg down with your hand on the top of their shin
Systematically eliminate all of their frames, once you have done this you can start passing
Clearing Leg from De la Riva 29:27
The goal is to nutrilise all the attacks they can make and then go on the attack
When they are holding your ankle on the hook side there is a space on the inside of your foot
Turn your leg and foot inwards and kick your leg out
Clearing leg from de la riva (underhook) 31:45
If their grip on the ankle is too strong take your same side hand, underhook their leg, grip the bottom of their hand around the pinkie, then pull up and escape your leg out
Clearing leg from De la Riva (Stepping over leg) 33:21
If when you grip on their pinky they hammer their leg down on your arm then
They have that leg strong, so other weak, which means you can clear and step over the weak leg.
Clearing leg when person doesn’t let step over 35:03
If they don’t let you step over- that means that they have weakened their hammering down and thus you can break the hand grip.
