A

It was in a labratory so variables were more easily controlled meaning a cause and effect relationship can more easily be established

What are the weaknesses of Milgrams study

A

It had many ethical breaches e.g deception, emotional harm and lack of the right to withdraw
Lacks ecological validity as administering electrical shocks is not realistic
Small sample size of 40 meaning it cannot be generalised to the wider population
Only one gender was used
