Q

Describe the characteristics of a plane mirror (orientation, size of image, effect when mirror is closer and farther away).

A

A plane mirror has a flat surface and shows the same orientation, size, and effect as the object.

Q

Describe the characteristics of a convex mirror (orientation, size of image, effect when mirror is closer and farther away)

A

A convex mirror is a diverging mirror that has an upright orientation and shows reduced size of an object both when the mirror is closer or farther away.

Q

Describe the characteristics of a concave mirror (orientation, size of image, effect when mirror is closer and farther away)

A

A concave mirror is a converging mirror. It shows both upright and inverted orientation based on the distance of the mirror. The size of the image is both enlarged or reduced based on the distance of the mirror. If the mirror is closer, it will show an upright, virtual, and enlarged image. On the other hand, if the mirror is farther, it will show an inverted, real, and reduced image.
