MS pathology

A

causes pressure loaded LA:
- backpressure into lungs - pulmonary hypertension
- potentially right sided overload and heart failure
- chronic raised pressure will cause LA dilation - AF - this becomes v dangerous

  • ECG – AF or P wave enlargement/bifid p wave of p mitrale
  • echo
