A

Extraordinary magisterium:

  1. Pope and Bishops gather in a council.
  2. Pope personally proclaims some significant official Church teaching on faith or morals to the whole church.

Ordinary magisterium:

  1. Pope & Bishops throughout the world, intend to teach a doctrine on faith or morals to the church.
  2. Pope, an individual bishop or a conference I’d bishops exercise their day to day teachings for Catholics to live as Christ in practical.

Infallible teachings are teachings that are revealed by God, what makes them infallible are due to found in what God has revealed through Jesus and the Holy Spirit has guided the Church’s understanding of them.
