Does ses influence authoritarian parenting?

1st slide looks at 2 differing schools of thought as to why lower socioeconomic parents tend to favour a more authoritarian parenting style;
1. Those of lower ses tended to have more children displaying problem behaviours and this led to more hassles for the parents which then led them to an authoritarian parenting style. or
2. Lower ses parents tended to be surrounded by more authoritarian parenting styles as a norm. Thus they then believed this to be an effective way of parenting.
