Sensitivity
True Positive Rage - it is a measure of a diagnostic test’s ability to correctly identify those individuals with the disease or condition of interest.
It is calculated as the proportion of true positives out of all the individuals who truly have the disease.
It answers the question “of all the individuals with the disease, how many did the test correctly identify?”
Specificity
The true negative rate is a diagnostic test’s ability to correctly identify individuals without the disease or condition in question.
It is computed as the proportion of true negatives out of all the individuals who are genuinely disease-free.
It addresses the question “of all the individuals without the disease, how many did the test rightly categorize as disease-free?”
Relative Risk
Risk Ratio. measures the strength of association between exposure and outcome.
It is the ratio of the probability of the outcome in the exposed group to the probability of the outcome in the non-exposed group.
It quantifies how much more likely an exposed group is to experience an outcome compared to a non-exposed group.
Odds Ratio
A measure of association between exposure and outcomes. It represents the odds of an outcome occurring in the exposed group relative to the odds of the same outcome occurring in the non-exposed group.
Unlike relative risk, odds ratio focuses on the odds
