Examination, identification & handling of exibits are important aspects of any investigation.

Prior to leaving the crime scene, the following matters should be considered.

  1. Nature of report
  2. Offenders location
  3. Offenders discription

  1. DEALING WITH EVIDENCE AND EXIBITS
A

Exibits may mean objects, documents, and weapons produced in court of law to prove a connection between defendants and the crime.

  1. Traces offender as an important link

Constitution Sec 37 ( 4) (a). Innocent until proven guilty.

  1. Endeavor to obtain the best evidence.

  2. Complainant / aggrieved relatives brought the suspect in.
  3. Interview the offender. It’s best to get a story from the complainant/ any other witness
