Equality
Everyone has access to the same resources regardless of their background or circumstance
Health Equality
Everyone is treated the same, having access to the same resources and opportunities to achieve positive health outcomes
Who might not benefit from English language brochures?
Different first language, low income, disability, low reading literacy, etc
Inequality
Concerned with an outcome or state of being
(Healthy, unhealthy)
(Happy, unhappy)

When is a health inequality a health disparity?
When modifiable factors are unjust unfair and avoidable
-systematically experienced social, economic, or environmental obstacles to health and health determinants
