Following distance
1 second for every 3 meters of your vehicle + 2 seconds

Horizon method
Search back and forth within the specified sector at a constant elavation angle of no more than 5 degrees above the horizon.
Parked cars
Always keep 1 M APART THEM
Ground search
Wheels are straight: shows us that they are not moving.
Wheels not: traffic wonders if they’re going or not.
Visual scanning patterns
Looking long and wide scan, check left mirror look wide and long. Then windshield. Look to the right long and wide, then check read view mirror. Check instrumentation then repeat.
