1
Q
what are moles
A
A mole is a way to count things like atoms or molecules.
1 mole = 6.022 × 10²³ particles.
2
Q
what is molar mass
A
Molar mass is how much 1 mole of a substance weighs, in grams.
For an element, it’s the number on the periodic table (e.g., carbon is 12 g/mol).
For a compound, add up the molar masses of its elements (e.g., water is 18 g/mol).
3
Q
what are molarities
A
Molarity is a way to measure the concentration of a solution. It tells you how many moles of a substance are in a liter of solution.
