A
  • more excessive symptoms than expected based on type, amount and duration of use
  • onset of MD symptoms precedes the use
  • MD symptoms persist for a period of time (more than 1 week) after termination of intoxication or acute withdrawal
  • MD symptoms emerge during a period of stable or occasional consumption
  • history of MD in absence of SUD
  • family history of MD
  • history of good response to antidepressant treatments in the past
