A

A

Six Syllable Types

A

-Closed: ends in C, short vowel (cat)
-Open: ends in vowel, long vowel (he)
-Silent-e: long vowel, final -e (cake)
-Vowel team: vowel pair, long (meat)
-R-controlled: vowel + r (bird)
-Consonant -le: ends in -le (little)
