Motion Flashcards
1
Q
How can we calculate speed and distance time
A
Speed = distance / time
Distance = speed x time
Time = distance x speed
2
Q
In a speed graph which axis represents time and which speed
A
Time in seconds is on the x axis and the speed in metres is on the y axis
3
Q
If the line stops what does that indicate about the object
A
If the line stops straight it shows that the object has stopped
4
Q
If the line suddenly curves up and jolts up what does that mean
A
If the line curves up it indicates that the object has increased its speed
5
Q
How do we find out what the average speed for an object is
A
We find out the total distance and divide it by the time spent to find it out
