What is force
Force is that which changes or tries to change the state of the body
What is mass
Quantity of matter contained within a body
What is gravity
Gravitational force is a force that pulls an object to a the ground
What is weight
The force with which the body is attracted to the centre of the earth
What is a scalar quantity
Magnitude only ( 80kg or 10 seconds )
What is a vector quantity
Magnitude and direction ( 25 m/s south )
What is velocity
The rate of change of distance with respect to time
What is acceleration
The rate of change of velocity with respect to time
What is density
Amount of mass with respect to unit volume
What is pressure
Amount of force acting on a unit area
What is linear motion
Is motion in a straight line

Angle between two radii drawn from the end of an arc

The single force that can replace all other forces and perform the same amount of force as them
What is an equilibrant
The single force which is equal to magnitude
What is Newton’s first law
The body will remain at rest in a straight line unless it is acted upon by an external force
What is Newton’s 2nd law
If the body is acted upon an external force the rate of change of momentum is proportional to that force
What is Newton’s 3rd law
It is the equal and opposite force
What is energy
It is the capacity or ability to work
What can you change in energy
Only change it’s form
What is potential energy
The energy of position
What is kinetic energy
Moving energy
What is power
The rate of doing work
