Backstage
A place to manage your files.

Save vs Save as
Save as you give it a name and a place to save. Save just saves changes.
Exit vs Close
Close exits the document. Exit closes the program.
Application Window
The rectangular-shaped viewing area on screen that you are working in.
Document Window
A section of the screen used to display the contents of a document file on a graphical user interface.
File Extension
A group of letters occurring after a period in a file name, indicating the format of the file.
Insertion Point
The point where the next characters typed from the keyboard will appear on the display screen.
Jump List
A feature introduced in Windows 7. This feature allows you to view recent documents in a program that is pinned to your task bar.
Ribbon
A graphical control element in the form of a set of toolbars placed on several tabs.
Shortcut Menu
A graphical user interface (GUI) that appears upon user interaction, such as a right-click mouse operation.
Subfolders
A folder contained within another folder.
