screen tip
a small text box appears when a mouse pointer is hovered over an icon or button.
save vs save as
“Save As…” brings up a prompt to save your work as a file with a different name.”Save” simply saves your work by updating the last saved version of the file to match the current version you see on your screen.
exit vs close
Close will close a file, but leave the application open. Exit will close the file and also exit the application.

The rectangular-shaped viewing area on screen that you are working in.
