Patient will be a deconditioned athlete
With a history of fluoroquinolone use
Complaining of “pop” or “snap” and sudden pain in the calf area
PE will show absent plantarflexion upon calf squeeze (Thompson test)
Treatment is posterior splint in plantarflexion, orthopedic consult

clinical finding for biceps tendon rupture

A

The clinical finding appears as a deformity in which the biceps tendon retracts and coils, giving the appearance of a palpable mass. The patient will also exhibit weak flexion and supination of the injured arm.
