17
Q

Pectineus insertion?

A

Pectineal line (just inferior to lesser trochanter)

18
Q

Pectineus innervation?

A

Femoral (L2, 3), and branch from obturator

19
Q

Pectineus action?

A

ADduction
Flexion at hip
Assists medial rotation

20
Q

Sartorius form?

A

Longest muscle in body, superficial, strap-like, runs lateral to medial

21
Q

Sartorius origin?

22
Q

Sartorius insertion?

A

Superior part of the medial part of the tibia

23
Q

Sartorius innervation?

A

Femoral nerve (L2,L3)

24
Q

Sartorius action?

A

Flexion of thigh
ABduction hip
Lateral hip rotation
Flexes knee (medially rotates leg when knee flexed)

Produce the cross-legged sitting position

25
Name the knee extensors
``` Quadriceps femoris (4 heads): Rectus femoris Vastus lateralis Vastus medialis Vastus intermedius ```
26
Quadriceps femoris innervation?
Femoral nerve (L2, L3, L4) (mainly 3 and 4)
27
Quadriceps femoris insertion?
1. Quadriceps tendon to base of patella 2. Patellar ligament to tibial tuberosity 3. VM and VL also attach to tibia and patella via aponeuroses
28
Quadriceps femoris action?
Extend knee | RF also steadies hip and helps iliopsoas flex thigh
29
Rectus femoris origin?
ASIS and ilium (superior to acetabulum)
30
Vastus lateralis origin?
Greater trochanter and lateral lip of linea aspera
31
Vastus medialis origin?
Intertrochanteric line and medial lip of linea aspera | The most medial of the quadriceps
32
Vastus intermedius origin?
Anterior and lateral surfaces of femoral shaft
