- Sartorius
- Tensor fascia lata
Pelvis avulsion injury: attachment?
- AIIS
- Rectus femoris
Pelvis avulsion injury: attachment?
- Greater trochanter
- Hip rotators, gluteus muscles
Pelvis avulsion injury: attachment?
- Lesser trochanter

Segond fx
- Body part?
- Associated injury?
- Lateral tibial plateau
- ACL (75%)
Reverse Segond fx
- Body part?
- Associated injury?
- Medial tibial plateau
- PCL
Arcuate sign
- Body part?
- Associated injury?
- Proximal fibula
- PCL (90%)
Deep intercondylar notch sign
- Body part?
- Associated injury?
- Lateral femoral condyle
- ACL
O’Donoghue’s Unhappy Triad
- Classic constituents?
ACL tear
Medial meniscus
MCL
Keinbock disease
- AVN of the lunate
- Commonly seen with ulnar NEGATIVE variance
- T1 signal dropout
Colles’ fx
- Distal radius
- Dorsal angulation/tilt
(Looks like a Collie dog’s wrist)
Smith fx
- Distal radius
- Volar angulation
Barton fx
- Radial rim fx (articular)
- Volar more common than dorsal
Bennett fx vs Rolando fx
- body part?
- difference?
- BASE of 1st metacarpal
- Rolando is comminuted
Gamekeeper’s thumb?
- Avulsion fx, BASE of 1st proximal phalanx
- UCL injury
Stener lesion
- UCL injury (Gamekeeper’s thumb) with displacement of UCL EXTERNAL to the adductor tendon aponeurosis
- SURGERY: UCL can’t re-approximate and heal
Monteggia fx
Proximal ulna fx + anterior dislocation of radial head
mugger: MU-GR
Galeazzi fx
Radial SHAFT fx + dislocation of ulna at DRUJ
mugger: MU-GR
Essex-Lopresti fx
Radial HEAD fx + dislocation of ulna at DRUJ
Anterior dislocation of the shoulder:
- Fx of greater tuberosity?
- Fx of anterior inferior glenoid?
- Hill-Sachs (H for Humerus)
- “Bony” Bankart (Bankart = anteroinferior labrum)
- Who gets conventional total shoulder arthroplasty?
- Reverse?
- Shitty glenoid, cuff intact
- Shitty glenoid, cuff tear
Reverse helps keep the joint seated: if the cuff is gone, reverse TSA
