Back edge of mandible

Flex neck and being head down to chest

Spinous process of T3-T5 along nuchal ligament to poll

Transverse process of C3-C5
What is the action of the splenius cervicis?
Lifting head

Manubrium on sternum

Hyoid bone
What is the action of the sternohyoid muscle?
Retracts and depresses hyoid bone & tongue

Subscapular fascia at shoulder joint

Hyoid bone

Assist sternohyoid to retract tongue and helps swallow

Transverse processes of C2-C4 and to the wing of the atlas
Where does the Omotransversarius muscle insert?
Brachiocephalic muscle on the humerus
Is also attached to shoulder fascia
What are some actions or the Omotransversarius?
Together with the Brachiocephalic will bend the neck laterally
