What is cartilage?
A
Works as a shock absorber, provides support and structure.
There are 3 different types of cartilage.

What is a tendon?
A
Band of tissue that connects muscle to bone and is very strong.

What is a ligament?
A
Elastic band of tissue that connects bone to bone, provides stability to the joint itself.

What is skeletal muscle?
A
Most common type of muscle, provides movement and is controlled voluntarily.

What is smooth muscle?
A
Controlled involuntarily, in the lining of the body’s organs to allow them to function.

What is cardiac muscle?
A
Found in the heart, is involuntary.
