Bone marrow supression

Hypogammaglobulinaemia or bronchiectasis - measure serum immunoglobulins if developed recurrent infections

Red cell aplasia - reduce dose/discontinue if this occurs

Mycophenolate and pregnancy

• Congenital malformations + spontaneous abortions
• Exclude pregnancy in females
• 2 pregnancy tests should be taken 8-10 days apart
• Use at least 1 effective contraceptive method

Mycophenolate and contraception

• Women should use at least 1 effective method during and for 6 weeks following stopping
• Male patients or their female partner should use contraception during and for 90 days after discontinuing
