Who is Brenda Collins
She is from “Dream of Passion”,and known as the modern, real life version of Medea. She is impriosned due to murdering her three children to take revenge on her unfaithful lover which is similar to the situation with Medea.
How do the women in Greek Myth challenge Gender norms?
the act of violence is portrayed more as masculine deceptions. displayed as angry, crazed, and vengeful. feeding into the archetype of the crazy, psycho wife/girlfriend who does something extreme after finding out her husband cheated.
How does J + A differ from Appollonios?
Receives direct help from Hera, less distracted more focused, violent, action hero, confident.
How is Talos defeated?
In the book, Medea uses her potion, in the movie he stabs and opens up a hole in hi foot to defeat Talos.
Who is Medea in J +A?
she doesn’t use much of her magic or potions, and is pretty useless. falls in love with Jason without needing the arrow of Cupid.
