What is the name of Bacterial infection of the cuticle? And symptoms/causes
Paronychia ( par-one-kia)
Symptoms- inflammation of the cuticle. Pain and pus.
Causes- being in water to long, tears in cuticle, poor manicure techniques and unclean equipment.
What is the condition that has white and or yellow deposits under the nail, thickened nail plate. Discoloured nail plate, separation of the nail plate?

Deep horizontal ridges on the nail caused through habit especially on the thumbs or indicates a halt in nail growth.
Beau’s Lines

Spoon shaped nails which can be congenital ‘indicate anaemia, exposure to harsh detergents or iron deficiency.
Koilonychia
Coil-lon-e-kia
Pigmentation due to a collection of melanocytes in the matrix. A dark streak runs longitudinally down the nail.
