What are nanoparticles?
A
- Particles with a diameter between 1 and 100 nanometers

Why are nano-particles so useful?
A
- Very large surface area to volume ratio
- As an object gets smaller, its volumr decreases faster than its surface area

Uses of nanoparticles
A
- Used as catalysts (very large surface area)
- In nanomedicine (buckminster fullerene used to transport drugs around the body)

A
- No evidence saying they are harmful but not enough testing done to say they are harmless
