Haitian Revolution

A

Inspired by the French and American Revolutions
Napoleon sent French troops to the Caribbean to fight the enslaved people of Haiti in response to the rebellion of 1801
His army struggled because the slaves fought very hard and they felt that they deserved to be free
Also, lots of the soldiers struggled with diseases
