A

Roughly 3700 troops operating in Kosovo currently.

Entered in 1999 to end violence and halt the humanitarian disaster that was developing.

Post 2008 NATO mains a presence, helping the political situation and supporting EU dialogue.

A

Op Sea Guardian.

Combination of maritime security operational tasks:
- Situational awareness
- Counter terrorism
- Supporting capacity building

Flexible operation and can be re tasked to:
- Freedom of navigation

- Protection of infrastructure

Tell me about Iraq in regards to NATO?

A

Launched at the Brussels summit in 2018 at the request of the Iraqi government.

Non-Combat advisory and capacity building mission.

Aiming to strengthen Iraqi forces so they can prevent the return of ISIS, fight terrorism and stabilise their country.

A

Supporting the African Union in its peacekeeping mission on the African continent.

Since 2007 it has assisted Somali by providing air-lift and sea-lift support.

Has also been providing training and capacity building to the stay force.

Following February 2014, and then February 2022 NATO has been conducting reassurance measures for its allies.

Has deployed additional aircraft to the following regions:

  • The Eastern Adriatic

Part of three standing forces on active duty. Maritime and integrated air defence.
