  • Rohm was his biggest threat but other members disagreed with his views
  • hitler sent men to arrest and kill rohm and several hundred other men
  • he claimed those who were murdered were plotting against the government so therefore their murders were legal
  • got rid of all potential opposition

  • there were laws to sack civil servants taht didnt support the governement
  • in 1933 they set up special courts where basic ights were suspended
  • judges didnt have to be fair and were expected to make rulings isnide nazi party views
