Q
Median
A
- Arrises from the lateral cord and the medial cord
- Nerve route lateral C6,7 medial C8,T1
- Enters lateral to brachial artery
- Enters cubital fossa below the biceps apeneurosis
- Passes between the two heads of pronator teres
- Deep to FDS and superifical to FDP
- Passes under the flexor retinaculum into palmar aspect of the hand
- Divides into terminal branches and innervates the thena rmuscle s
Muscles - Pronator teres
- Wrist Flexors such FDS FDP
- Thenar muscles
- 2 lateral lumbricals moving 2nd and 3rd finger
- Lateral half of the palm
- first 3 fingers and lateral 4th finger

Q
Radial
A
- Posterior cord of brachial plexus
- C5,6,7,8,T1
- Descends behind the brachial artery anterior to subscapualris
- Descends on the posterior surface of the humerus.
- then wraps around the distal end of the humerus where it penetrates the intermuscular septum
- Passes through the cubital fossa and terminates anterior to the lateral epicondyle and divides into deep and sueprficial branches
Deep (posterior interosseus nerve)
- provides motor innervation to the posterior compartment of the forearm
Superficial
- sensation to the thenar eminence, thumb and 1st half the first finger
Muscles
- Triceps brachii
- Brachioradialis
- Extensors of the arm
- ECRL ECRB ECU and the thumb flecors

Q
Ulnar
A
- Arises from the medial cord C8, T1
- Runs through the axilla and runs medial until reaching the mid arm
- Descends in front of the medial head of triceps muscle
- Passes between the medial epicondyle and the olecranon
- Enters the forearm by passing through the two heads of FCU
- Descends along the medial aspect of the forearm
- before wrist it divides into dorsdal branch.
- Passes anterior to flexor retinaculum and divides into superficial and deep branches
Muscles - FCU and medial healf of FDP
- Most of the intrinisc hand msucles
Sensory - Anterior aspect of littl efinegr and half ring finger and the skin on the medial anterior and dorsal aspect of the hand.
4
Q
Axillary
A
- Posterior cord of brachial plexus C5 and C6
- Lies posterior to the axillary artery
- Curves back and passes through a space bordered by subscap, teres minor and major and long head of triceps
- Divides into anterior and posterior branches
- The anteiror curves around the neck of huemrus passing deep to deltoid
- The posterior branch traverls to deltoid
Muscles - Deltoid
- Teres minor
- Long head of triceps
- The GHJ
Sensory - The skin around the shoulder
5
Q
Musculocutaneous
A
- Arises from the lateral cord of the brachial plexus C5,6,7
- Emerges from the lower lateral borderr of the pec minor muscle
- Pierces through the coracobrachialis
- Runs Lateral to biceps and brachialis
- Lateral to the biceps tendond at the elbow crosses the joint
- Pierces the deep fascia and travels as the lateral cutaneous
Muscles - Coracobrachialis
- Biceps bracchi
- Brachialis
6
Q
Peroneal
A
- L4, L5, S1, S2
- Descends along the lateral border of the politeal fossa to the head of the fibual
- Between the tendon of biceps femoris and lateral head of gastrocnemius
- Curves lateral to the neck of fibula deep to peroneus longus
- Divides into superifical and deep
Superficial - Pierces the fascia in distal leg and divides into medial and lateral cutaneous branches
Deep - Passes Obliquely forward
- In the proximal third of the leg it descends into the ankle
- Enters foot and divides into lateral and medial branches
Muscles - Tibialis anterior
- EDL
-EHL
-PL
-PB

Q
Sciatic
A
- Sacral plexus L4,5.S1.S2.S3
- Medial border of piriformis
- Exits the pelvis through greater sciatic foramen
- Travels posteriorly behind the deep lateral rotators of the hip
- Descends the thigh musway between GT and ischial tuberosity
- Under glutes and hamstrings
- At the apex of the popliteal fossa it dividees into common peroneal nerve and tibial nerve
Muscles - Glute max
- Hamstring
Adductor magnus

Q
Tibial
A
- Sacral plexus L4,5,S1,S2,S3
- From under the hamstrinngs
Descends from the apex of the popliteal fossa - Under the heads of gastrocnemius and soleus
- It lies of tibialis posteriroly
- At the midpoint between the Tib ant and medial mallelous
- Passes behind the medial malleolus deep to the flexor retinaculum
- Between the FHL and FDL
- Divides into medial and lateral plantar nerves
