Brain stem
The part of the brain that connects the brain to the spinal cord. It controls involuntary muscles that work to keep your body alive.
Autonomic nervous system
Controls all involuntary actions of the body
Cerebellum
The part of the brain that is located below the cerebrum. It controls balance, movement, and coordination.
Cerebrum
It is the largest part of the brain. It controls thinking and voluntary movements.
Left hemisphere
Usually controls the right side of the body parts
Motor nerve
Carries information from the brain to other body parts
Neurologist
A doctor who treats disorders of the nervous system
Right hemisphere
Usually controls the left side of the body
Sensory nerve
Carries information from the body parts to the brain
