what is a server?
a computer that provides information to end devices. examples are email servers, web servers, file server
What is a client?
computers that send requests to the servers to retrieve information. examples include web page from a web server and email from an email server
what is an end device?
where a message originates from or where it is recieved. Data originates from an end device and is recieved by an end device.
What is an intermediary network device?
it connects end devices. examples include switches, wireless access points, routers and firewalls
what important terms do you need to know for network representation?
network interface card, physical port, interface
what does LAN stand for?
Local Area Network
what does WAN stand for?
Wide Area Network
